The protagonist of the story, a young man named Daniel, lives in a small village. Following the death of the local hermit, Phebus, Daniel unexpectedly inherits the old man's dilapidated house and a large stack of personal journals.

Why did the old man live in seclusion, trusting no one and never opening up? Who did he fear and what had he witnessed in his lifetime? How is all of this connected to the local legends of soulless creatures living amongst humans, and are these monsters truly as terrifying as they are described?

Now, Daniel must delve into the old journals to find answers to all these questions, while also juggling his personal life. After eight years of separation, Asha, Daniel’s childhood friend, has returned to the village.

Главный герой истории – юноша по имени Даниэль живёт в небольшой деревушке. После смерти местного отшельника Феба, герой неожиданно получает в наследство от старика ветхий домик и большую стопку личных записей.

Почему старик жил особняком, не доверяя никому и никогда? Кого боялся и чего успел повидать за жизнь? Как всё это связанно с народными легендами о бездушных тварях, что живут среди людей и так ли страшны монстры как их описывают?
Теперь Даниэлю предстоит, покопавшись в старых записях, узнать ответы на все эти вопросы, попутно не забывая и о личной жизни, ведь после восьми лет разлуки в поселение вернулась Аша – подруга детства главного героя, с которой он не виделся так давно.
